In order to promote a healthy and balanced community, there must be a strong infrastructure including quality services to sustain the areas. As such, BAME strives to strengthen and rebuild the fabric of the community through economic development initiatives, affordable housing, services that support aging seniors, entrepreneurial activity, local business development, job creation, and financial empowerment for families and youth.

BAME Renaissance, Inc. is a 501(c)3 Community Development Corporation; created as a result of the vision, leadership and collaborative values of the congregation of Bethel Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church.

BAME is engaged in the economic revitalization of Grant Hill, Stockton and Logan Heights communities. The corporation develops physical community assets, including affordable housing for rental and ownership; promotes economic development; fosters leadership development; builds capacity within the community and advocates on behalf of the community.

Statement of Vision
BAME envisions a future of healthy, sustainable communities. These self-determined and diverse communities - assisted by our faith-based community development corporation - are environments where people are valued. They are communities where investment in human capital ensures that all residents are encouraged and supported to achieve their highest potential. They are communities where lasting economic viability is fostered through education, civic engagement, advocacy, enterprise, and wealth creation.
